Inside: Open House London 2016

This year I bit the bullet and queued for the Gherkin at 7:30am... and there were already about 100 people before me! The dedication to Open House London is so inspiring. 

Over the past two days, I went to four different buildings:
  • 30 St Mary Axe (The Gherkin)
  • Saw Swee Hock Student Centre
  • Bevin Court
  • St John Smith Square church

Open House London 2016: Suggestions and Tips

The best weekend for architecture lovers approaches! On 17-18th September, some of London’s most exclusive buildings will be open to the public for free and others will waiver their entry fee or offer free guided tours. 

Open House London has redesigned their listings website this year so it is even easier to browse which buildings are participating.

Bookies are currently divided on the winner of this year’s RIBA Stirling Prize, the UK’s most prestigious architecture prize. With only one month to go until award night, betting website William Hill lists four buildings as having equal chances of winning and the remaining two behind with close odds.
